COVID-19 has been horrible. We returned from Vidanta Nayarit on March 14, 2020 and were directed to shelter in our homes in the San Francisco Bay Area from 3 days later (March 17, 2020) until now - June 3, 2020. And the shelter in our homes requirement has not been lifted yet.

How about you? Have you been experiencing these directives as well? Probably so!

Interestingly, Nuevo Vallarta closed its non-essential businesses and activities one day earlier than we did in California - on March 16, 2020. Jalisco did not implement the same measures as Nayarit, but both states imposes health directives that effectively closed both Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta.

It is now June 3, and areas in Nuevo Vallarta and Jalisco are getting ready to open. We understand Vidanta plans to open resorts in Nuevo Vallarta on or about July 3, 2020. It is exciting to think that we will once again be able to visit our favorite vacation spots soon.

Before we get too excited, we need to understand the health safety protocols that will be in place when we return. Additionally, we need to understand what training staff members are being exposed to in order to assure guests that they will be safe.

Grupo Vidanta has shared with us a video that displays their view of the importance of being ready to greet guests again and to assure them that they will be safe.

We are excited about the coming months and the rest of the year. Vidanta will be welcoming us with open arms, and they will be adhering to protocols that are viewed as best practices by federal health officials.

Our objective is to keep you informed about progress being made at the Grand Luxxe Residence Club and Grupo Vidanta. Watch this blog for more updates.

In the meantime, feel free to let us know your thoughts too.

Finally, don’t hesitate to ask about the available weeks in November, December, January and March. Fun is on the way!!
